The Salina Youth Symphony Program offers the opportunity for area youth to participate in professionally directed youth orchestras composed of students dedicated to fine music making.

The Youth Symphony Program involves more than 150 students in the following three orchestras:

• Youth Symphony—advanced full orchestra
• Junior Youth Symphony—intermediate full orchestra
• Preparatory Youth Orchestra—beginning string ensemble

All ensemble members qualify on an audition basis. Members are dedicated to rehearsing most Saturday mornings throughout the school year to prepare for two formal concerts at the Stiefel Theatre.
