GENERAL INFORMATION

The Salina Youth Symphony Program offers the opportunity for area youth to participate in professionally directed youth ensembles comprised of students dedicated to fine music making. Members are dedicated to rehearsing weekly throughout the school year to prepare for two formal concerts at the Stiefel Theatre. Our program also offers students unique opportunities to travel, work with guest conductors and guest artists, and participate in masterclasses. In addition, the Salina Symphony Guild sponsors a summer music camp scholarship program open only to members of our program.

The Salina Youth Symphony Program offers students the opportunity to audition for the following ensembles:

• Youth Symphony—advanced full orchestra
• Youth String Ensemble—intermediate string ensemble
• Youth Jazz Band—intermediate jazz band
• Preparatory Youth Orchestra—beginning string ensemble
